Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our readers! We hope you will take lots of amazing photographs in 2026! And if you haven’t been yet, visit our exhibition at Bonnymuir Green, open until February the 6th. And all the displayed photos are for sale too. More details a bit further down this page. Have a great Festive season!

Visions Photography Club is an active and dynamic group based in Aberdeen. Its membership includes photographers of all levels of experience.  The focus is not solely on competitions. It is about helping each other to become better photographers through social interactions. This includes practical sessions and outings. We want every Visions member to enjoy photography. You can use a mobile phone, a mirrorless camera or a DSLR. You can even use film if you prefer.

Visions meet at the Ruthrieston Community Centre in Holburn street, Aberdeen, on Thursday evenings 7-9 pm.

  • Our private Facebook page visionsphotographyclub.com is very active, and we are running fun photo competitions every quarter. Access to the Visions FB page is automatically granted for club members.
  • You can see the programme of events here.

Please feel free to get in touch with us, we are always keen to welcome new members to Visions.

We look forward to welcoming you to our camera club!

Our Year end overview for 2025 is finally online. I can’t believe how many photos our members posted on FB. It has been amazing to scroll back through thousands of images. My standout ones are here.

Visions went on a weekend away to the seaside in October. Click here for lots of images and a few words. Our base was Berwick upon a Tweed. From there we went North and South looking for coastal photography opportunities.

Our very own exhibition!

Visions is having a photography exhibition at Bonnymuir Green from December 6th to February 6th, 2026. There is also a launch event on 5th December to which you are cordially invited.

You’ll get to see 30 different and beautifully framed A3-sized images. And guess what? If you’re feeling inspired, you can even buy one to take home!

A portion of the proceeds from sales will go to the BGCT. The Bonnymuir Green Community Trust runs the former bowling green as a lovely communal garden. Visions members have been taking great photographs at events as well as throughout the year, capturing the beautiful changing seasons in the gardens.

Oh, and don’t forget to check the BGCT website before you visit (click here.). The cafe where the exhibition is displayed, is open on Mondays to Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Hope to see you there.

The address is Bonnymuir Green Community Trust, The Old Bowling Green, Off Bonnymuir Place, Aberdeen, AB15 5NQ

Latest news!
Visions is delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing National Lottery funding. Thanks to this support, we’re investing in a modern TV screen and a new laptop. These resources will help us to deliver presentations and showcase our photographs more effectively, as well as supporting our members in developing their skills. The TV will be wall mounted and accessible to other users of the Community centre.
